Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. Her birth name is Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010, when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed attracted the attention of the public. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding's soprano quirk and capacity to create catchy and emotionally sincere songs puts her on the frontline of contemporary mainstream music along with the art and indie pop scene. Polydor Records signed her to an agreement with a record label and she began preparing for the release of her debut album.
